Lonrho Africa was notified today, in accordance with sections 198-202 of the
Companies Act 1985, that on 23 January 2006 Nakterhuset AB sold 3,000,000
ordinary shares in the share capital of the Company ("Shares"). Following this
transaction, Nakterhuset AB is now interested in a total of 10,130,000 Shares,
representing approximately 6.43 per cent. of the Company"s issued share capital.
