TRADING STATEMENT AND ROLE OF CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
In terms of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are
advised that Sovereign expects that earnings per share and headline earnings per
share for the year ending 28 February 2006 will be between 30% and 50% higher
than those for the year ended 28 February 2005.
The financial information on which this trading statement has been based has not
been reviewed or reported on by the company"s auditors. It is anticipated that
the results for the year ending 28 February 2006 will be published early in May
2006.
The Board is pleased to announce that Mike Davis has accepted the role of Chief
Executive Officer and will be responsible for the overall performance of the
Group with Rob Spanjaard retaining the role of Chairman.
