Lonrho Africa announces that the Board of the Company yesterday approved the
adoption of a new unapproved share option scheme and granted thereunder options
over 3,500,000 ordinary shares of 1p each in the share capital of the Company
("Shares") to David Lenigas, the Company"s Chief Executive Officer.
