Lonrho Africa was notified yesterday, in accordance with sections 198-202 of the
Companies Act 1985, that following the sale of 1,350,000 ordinary shares in the
share capital of the Company ("Shares") on 26 January 2006, Peter Cundill &
Associates (Bermuda) Limited. in its capacity as investment counsel, now holds
on behalf of its clients 13,350,000 Shares, representing approximately 8.47 per
cent. of the share capital of the Company.
The Shares are registered in the following names:
