CHANGES TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Following the conclusion of the acquisition by Amabubesi Investments (Pty)
Limited and Metallon Ventures (Pty) Limited (collectively, "the BEE consortium")
of a 51.9% interest in Basil Read, as detailed in an announcement dated 15
December 2005, shareholders are notified that Messrs Ngcuka (Chairman), Dyosi,
Maliza and Reve, representatives of the BEE consortium, have been appointed as
non-executive directors with immediate effect.
