TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of JSE Limited, companies are required to
publish a trading statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that the
financial results for the period to be reported on will be more than 20%
different from that of the previous corresponding period. Accordingly, a review
of the financial results for the six months ended 31 December 2005 by management
has indicated that earnings per share of Alex White will be between 190% and
210% higher and headline earnings per share will be between 180% and 200% higher
than the previous interim period. The financial information on which this
trading statement is based has not been reviewed or reported on by Alex White"s
auditors.
Alex White"s interim results are expected to be published on SENS during the
last week of February 2006.
