RENEWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the cautionary announcement published on 5 January 2006 relating to a
proposed empowerment transaction ("The Transaction"), Kumba shareholders are
advised that the parties have completed the due diligence investigations and are
in the process of finalising the valuations and the requisite legal agreements.
It is envisaged that the Transaction will be implemented in the second quarter
of 2006.
Accordingly, Kumba shareholders are advised to exercise caution when dealing in
their Kumba shares until such a time as a further announcement is published.
