Old Mutual plc (the "Company") announces that, as a consequence of the issue of
246,165,756 shares in the Company on 16 February 2006, the following changes in
notifiable interests, for the purposes of Part VI of the UK Companies Act 1985,
have taken place in its current issued ordinary share capital:
the holding of Old Mutual Asset Managers (South Africa) (Pty) Limited of
206,985,671 shares for Group employee benefit trusts now represents 3.86% of the
Company"s current issued ordinary share capital;
the holding of FMR Corp. and its direct and indirect subsidiaries and Fidelity
International Limited and its direct and indirect subsidiaries of 205,580,850
shares in the Company now represents 3.84% of the Company"s current issued
ordinary share capital.
The above details of percentage shareholdings are based upon 5,356,271,599
shares, being the total number of shares in the Company in issue at 16 February
2006, and upon the latest details of holdings notified to the Company by each of
the shareholders concerned.
