Shareholders are hereby notified that Ms Ronell van Rensburg has been appointed
as company secretary of Mercantile with effect from 23 March 2006. Mr
Francisco Vicente Coelho has retired as company secretary of Mercantile with
effect from that date. The directors wish to thank Mr Vicente Coelho for his
commitment, support, guidance and professionalism throughout his many years of
service.
