TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a trading statement as soon as they are satisfied that a reasonable
degree of certainty exits that the financial results for the period to be
reported upon next will differ by at least 20% from that of the previous
corresponding period.
Seardel is currently finalising its results in respect of the six months ended
31 December 2005. Shareholders are advised that at this stage it is anticipated
that Seardel"s headline earnings per share will be between 10% and 15% higher,
and its earnings per share between 20% and 25% higher, than the headline
earnings and earnings per share for the six months ended 31 December 2004.
The financial results on which this trading statement has been based have not
been reviewed or reported on by Seardel"s auditors. It is anticipated that the
interim results for the six months ended 31 December 2005 will be released
during the second week of March 2006.
