DECLARED DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON ANGLO AMERICAN PLC ENHANCED DIVIDEND
SECURITIES - ("AGLIDB")
With reference to the dividend announcement, the Directors of Anglo American plc
have declared a final ordinary dividend, including a special dividend, of 578.92
cents per ordinary share based on an exchange rate as of Wednesday, 22 February
2006 of US$1 = R6.0939 payable on Wednesday, 3 May 2006 to ordinary shareholders
recorded in the books of the company at the close of business on Friday, 10
March 2006.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of the Enhanced Dividend Securities, AGLIDB,
will receive an Anglo American plc dividend of 578.92 cents per security on
Wednesday, 3 May 2006. The last day to trade ("cum" the dividend) in order to
participate in the dividend will be Friday, 3 March 2006.
AGLIDB Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the dividend from
the commencement of business on Monday, 6 March 2006, and the record date will
be Friday, 10 March 2006.
