today as the instrument will expire before LDT 20 April 2006 and not LDT 31

DIVIDEND DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT IN RELATION TO THE SLM SHARE INSTALMENT
Notice is hereby given of the dividend amount payable for SANLAM LTD and that as
a result of the dividend declaration relating to SANLAM LTD (SLM) the Trustees
of the SLM Share Instalment have declared a dividend amount of 65 cents per
share instalment that is payable on Wednesday 10 May 2006.
The last day to trade cum dividend is Thursday, 20 April 2006. The share
instalment will commence trading ex dividend from Friday, 21 April 2006 and the
record date will be Friday, 28 April 2006.
