RESIGNATION OF DIRECTORS
It is with regret that the members of the board note the resignation of deputy
chairman Wendy Lucas-Bull from the board of Aveng Limited with effect from 31
March 2006.
Wendy has served on the board since 3 January 2005 and has made a major
contribution in developing our strategy for effectively dealing with the
challenges of sustainable development in South Africa.
Subsequent to joining the board, she became a shareholder of Peotona, a new
womens investment company. Peotona wishes to pursue an investment opportunity,
which if concluded, would lead to a conflict of interest for Wendy in the
future.
After thirty four years of dedicated service to our group, Howard Jones the
managing director of Grinaker-LTA Construction, has decided to take early
retirement effective 31 March 2006 and will accordingly be resigning from the
Aveng board on that date.
