Trading update
Shareholders are referred to the forecast financial information for the year
ended 31 December 2005, published in the circular to shareholders dated 28
November 2005, wherein it was advised that earnings per share ("EPS") would be
7.8 cents (2004: 7.0 cents) and headline earnings per share ("HEPS") would be
8.2 cents (2004: 7.0 cents).
Shareholders are now advised that it is expected that EPS would be 65% - 70%
higher than those of the prior comparative period and HEPS is expected to be 25%
- 30% higher than those of the prior comparative period, which figures have
exceeded the forecast financial information by 48% - 53% and 7% - 11%
respectively.
The above information has been reviewed by the company"s auditors and the
company"s results for the year ended 31 December 2005 are expected to be
published on 4 April 2006.
