SALLIES TO COUNTERCLAIM FROM DRILLING CONTRACTOR
Johannesburg, 11 April 2006 - Fluorspar miner Sallies said today it would
vigorously oppose a liquidation application brought against it by its erstwhile
drilling contractor Fixtrade and would pursue a counterclaim against Fixtrade
which exceeded the amount that company says is owing to it by Sallies. The
dispute between the two companies arose when Sallies withheld payment from
Fixtrade for persistent under-delivery in terms of the drilling contract, which
Sallies subsequently cancelled.
