Change to the board of directors
In compliance with section 3.59 of the JSE Limited"s Listings Requirements and
further to our announcement dated 4 April 2006, regarding the appointment of Dr
Gil Mahlati, a well respected businessman who has considerable experience and
knowledge in the pharmaceutical industry; and Thembisa Dingaan, a merchant
banker who has extensive business experience in mergers and acquisitions,
empowerment transactions and structured corporate finance, as directors to the
Enaleni board, shareholders are now advised that Maxwell Sithole and Dave
Wolfson have resigned as executive directors of Enaleni with immediate effect,
both of whom will remain as executives within the group.
The board of directors would like to thank them for their valuable contribution
to Enaleni for the last three years which has seen the company grow into South
Africa"s leading empowerment pharmaceutical company.
Further, shareholders are advised that pursuant to the approval of the funding
of the Enaleni Black Economic Empowerment Transaction by the Industrial
Development Corporation, an announcement will be made shortly regarding the
appointment of an additional non-executive director to strengthen the Enaleni
board and ensure that board representation is in line with best practice.
