DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT
The trustees of the Satrix Collective Investment Scheme (being ABSA Bank
Limited) have resolved to make a distribution to holders of Satrix FINI
securities recorded in the register in respect of the quarter ended 31 March
2006. This distribution will:
- be an amount of 2,46 cents (two point four six cents) (R0,0246) per
Satrix FINI security;
- constituted by 2,46 cents in respect of dividends;
- be made to all holders of Satrix FINI securities recorded in the
register on 31 March 2006;
- be effected on 26 April 2006.
A tracking error was incurred during the quarter as a result of the Venfin
transaction whereby the Satrix Fini portfolio was required during the course of
the period to sell its holdings in Venfin at the mandatory price and re-balance
its portfolio to ensure ongoing tracking of the FTSE/JSE Financial 15 Index. A
total amount of R2 926 574 was expended for this purpose and was funded from the
distribution amount.
For the first quarter 2006, the Satrix Fini securities had a net unaudited Total
Expense Ratio (TER) of 19,1 basis points (0,191%).
