REPORT BACK ON ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING AND UPDATE ON DEBENTURE NAV
At the annual general meeting of debenture holders held in Pinelands today the
directors of Foord Compass made the following statement:
"The issue of debentures in January was well supported resulting in an
additional R240m capital being raised at an issue price of 683c. The first
quarter of 2006 was another good one for the company and the net attributable
value per debenture increased to 763c as at 31 March 2006. We are pleased to
report that most of this 11.7% gain was attributable to the capital value of the
debentures. It is the intention of the directors to communicate a net
attributable value of the debentures on a quarterly basis in future.
The manager would like to consolidate the recent rapid gains and as such has
over 25% of the assets of the company in cash awaiting suitable investment at an
opportune time."
This statement has not been reviewed by the company"s auditors.
