APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS
Diamond Core Resources Limited is pleased to announce the appointment of Greg
Hunter and Mike Prinsloo as independent, non-executive directors to the Board,
with effect from 2 May 2006.
Mr Hunter, who is presently the CEO and a board member of Central African Gold,
holds a B.Sc in Mining Engineering (Wits University) and has worked extensively
in the resource sector in both financial and technical capacities. He was
formerly CEO of Southern African resource company Metallon Gold and a director
of Ridge Mining plc. Prior to this he was head of mining research at Deutsche
Securities, focussed primarily on the gold and platinum sectors, and also spent
two years at UAL Merchant Bank as rated resource equity analyst. He also has
operational experience in industry, having spent a number of years with
Anglogold-Ashanti.
Mr Prinsloo holds a B Sc in Mining Engineering (Wits University), an AMP
(Harvard), an MDP (Unisa) and DPCR (UNISA). Mr Prinsloo is currently Chief
Executive Officer of the newly formed Gold Fields Business and Leadership
Academy and was Executive Vice President and Head of South African Operations
for Gold Fields Limited. Previously Mr Prinsloo was Chief Executive Officer of
Durban Roodepoort Deep Ltd, and held senior management positions in Anglogold.
Commenting on the appointments, Theo Botoulas, Managing Director of Diamond Core
Resources Ltd said that "the wealth of knowledge and experience brought to the
Board by the appointments will stand the Company in good stead as it embarks
upon its growth phase and implementation of its exploration strategy, which
includes the bulk sampling and trial mining of several sites in the exploration
portfolio".
