TRADING STATEMENT AND CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Securities Exchange South
Africa (`JSE`), listed companies are required to publish a trading statement as
soon as they become aware that the financial results for the period to be
reported on next will be materially different to that of the previous
corresponding period. Shareholders are advised that, due to the adverse effect
of the strong Rand on its export business, the financial results of WB Holdings
for the year ended 30 June 2004 will be substantially lower than that of the
previous financial year. The word `substantially` is defined by the JSE
Listings Requirements as meaning a difference equal to or greater than 30%.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by the company`s auditors and shareholders are therefore
advised to exercise caution in trading in the company`s shares until release of
the year end results of Pals, which is expected at the end of September 2004.
