Lonrho Africa has been notified, in accordance with Sections 198 to 202 of the
Companies Act 1985, that following the sale on 28 April 2006 of 500,000 ordinary
shares of 1 pence each ("Ordinary Shares") in the share capital of the Company,
and the sale of a further 500,000 Ordinary Shares on 2 May 2006, Peter Cundill &
Associates (Bermuda) Ltd. in its capacity as investment counsel, now holds on
behalf of its clients 11,750,000 Ordinary Shares, representing approximately
7.46 per cent. of the issued ordinary share capital of the Company.
