TRADING STATEMENT AND UPDATE ON TRANSACTION
TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements ("the Listings Requirements"),
companies are required to publish a trading statement as soon as they are
reasonably certain that the financial results for the current reporting period
will be more than 20% different from that of the previous corresponding period.
In terms of the Listings Requirements, Conafex accordingly advises that it
expects that earnings per share for the first six months of the current
financial year ending 28 February 2006 are likely to be between 260% and 280%
below those of the comparative period of last year, and headline earnings per
share for the first six months of the current financial year ending 28 February
2006 are likely to be between 535% and 555% below those of the comparative
period of last year.
Shareholders are advised that the above information has not been reviewed or
reported on by Conafex"s external auditors.
The company"s results for the six months ending 28 February 2006 are expected to
be published during May 2006.
