CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Further to the announcement issued by Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited
("Harmony") on SENS on 21 June 2006, the Company has been informed that Harmony,
has acquired approximately 2,29 million shares in Village, constituting 37,8% of
the issued ordinary shares of the Company at a cash price of R0.20 per share.
The acquisition by Harmony of the shares in Village will result in a mandatory
offer being made to the remaining shareholders of the Company in terms of the
Securities Regulation Code on Takeovers and Mergers. Accordingly, shareholders
are advised to exercise caution in dealing with the Company"s securities until a
further announcement is made.
