SALLIES RIGHTS OFFER RAISES R65 MILLION
Johannesburg, 26 June 2006 - Fluorspar miner Sallies today announced that 139
122 094, or 98.42% of the 141 354 896 new ordinary shares in its rights offer
which closed on Friday, 23 June 2006 had been applied for by shareholders.
Underwriter Titan Financial Services (Pty) Limited has taken up the balance in
terms of the underwriting agreement.
The rights issue was made in the ratio of 55 new shares, at a cash subscription
price of 46 cents per share, for every 100 shares held and has raised just over
R65 million. The company intends to use the proceeds to reduce its debt, fund
the organic expansion of its existing operations and partially finance its
proposed acquisition of Buffalo Fluorspar (which is still subject to board and
shareholder approval).
