APPOINTMENT OF DIRECTORS
In accordance with Section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited,
shareholders are advised of the following appointments, effective from 30 June
2006, to the board of Faritec:
Mncedisi Mayekiso, previously the executive director for Business Development
and Investments at Enterprise Connection, has been appointed as Marketing
Director. Mncedisi has over 11 years of experience in the ICT sector including
positions with IBM South Africa as Product Manager and Microsoft South Africa as
Partner Sales Manager. Mncedisi is also a co-founder and non-executive director
of Joburg City Auto, South Africa"s first black owned BMW franchise, and Canal
Square Investments, an investment holding company with interests in the
information technology and automotive industries;
Paul Mosely Moses, previously the managing director of Enterprise Connection,
has been appointed as a non-executive director. As part of the Connection Group
from 1992 Paul oversaw the national growth of Software Connection and, from 1995
to 1998, the establishment and growth of Incredible Connection, where he was
Managing Director. In 1998 he formed Enterprise Connection, which was then
acquired from the Connection Group in terms of a management led buy out in 2003;
and
Ciko Joshua Thomas has been appointed as a non-executive director. Ciko is a
marketing professional with more than 13 years experience, specializing in
strategic marketing, brand management, trade and sales operations, innovation
and new product development. Ciko serves on the boards of Joburg City Auto as an
executive director and co-founder, of the Communication & Advertising Forum for
Empowerment, and, in his capacity as a director in Akenton Investments (Pty)
Ltd, as a non-executive director on the board of Excellerate Holdings Limited.
The board of Faritec now consists of six executive and six non-executive
directors, seven of whom are black (comprising 58% of the total board), and two
of whom are female.
