FURTHER CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are referred to the initial Cautionary Announcement published on 26
October 2005 as well as to subsequent announcements made during December 2005,
January, March, April and June 2006 relating to the strategic review of Anglo
American plc ("Anglo American") and its announcement to embark on a process
which, if concluded, may result in a sale by Anglo American of its stake in
Highveld.
The attention of shareholders is drawn to the joint announcement issued today by
Anglo American plc ("Anglo American"), Evraz Group S.A. ("Evraz") and Credit
Suisse ("Credit Suisse") announcing that Anglo American has sold a significant
proportion of the shares it owns in Highveld to Evraz and Credit Suisse and that
Evraz intends to increase its shareholding in Highveld, once regulatory
approvals have been secured, by acquiring the shareholdings of Anglo American
and Credit Suisse through separate option arrangements.
Shareholders are therefore advised to continue to exercise caution in their
dealings in Highveld shares and a further announcement will be made in due
course.
