Condensed consolidated interim results for the nine months ended 31 March 2006
Barplats Investments Limited ("BPL") releases nine month results as a result of
Canadian reporting requirements due to the Eastern Platinum Limited ("ELR")
transaction (see ELR press releases dated 15 February 2006 and 02 May 2006).
ELR, a Canadian listed company (Toronto Stock Exchange) is required to file a
Business Acquisition Report ("BAR") within 75 days of an acquisition date and to
prepare consolidated proforma financial statements as at the most recent quarter
end. As such, the 31 March 2006 quarter, along with audited 30 June 2004 and
2005 financial statements are to be included within these proforma financial
statements.
BPL has provided unaudited 31 March 2006 (nine month and three month) financial
statements for the express purpose of inclusion within this BAR. These
statements have been prepared in accordance with the requirements under Canadian
generally accepted accounting principals (Canadian GAAP) and have been
translated into Canadian currency.
The BAR has been released in South Africa to provide shareholders access to
information that will become public with the BAR filing in Canada.
