Conafex shareholders are advised that, at the general meeting of Conafex held at
the company"s offices on 12 July 2006, the ordinary resolutions and the special
resolution approving:
- the change of the Company"s year-end;
- the change of day of the Company"s Annual General Meeting;
and
- the specific issue of shares for cash
were passed by the requisite majority of Conafex shareholders present at the
general meeting or represented by proxy thereat.
In terms of the timetable reflected in the announcement made on 14 June 2006, it
was anticipated that the new shares would be listed on the JSE on 14 July 2006.
Due to the delay in obtaining certain regulatory approvals, this date has
changed and the listing of the new shares is expected to occur during the course
of next week.
