Investec plc received notification from Spurwing-P Investments Limited on 21
July 2006 that as a consequence of the winding up of Spurwing-P Investments
Limited, its holdings of ordinary shares of GBP0.001 each (the "Ordinary
Shares") in the issued share capital of Investec plc has changed as detailed in
