David Hodgson Joins Board of Uranium One
Toronto, Ontario and Johannesburg, South Africa -- sxr Uranium One Inc. (TSX
and JSE: SXR) was today pleased to announce that David Hodgson has accepted
an invitation to join the Corporation"s Board as a non-executive director.
Mr. Hodgson has had a distinguished career in the global mining industry,
with responsibility for operations in North and South America, Africa and
Australia.
He retired last year from AngloGold Ashanti, where he most recently served
as Chief Operating Officer and as an Executive Director. He oversaw the
production of approximately 6 million ounces of gold production per annum
from 22 operations, in 11 countries and on four continents. Mr. Hodgson was
responsible for the commissioning of Jwaneng diamond mine for Debswana in
Botswana.
Mr. Hodgson is also a non-executive director of Moto Gold Mines.
He graduated with a BSc in civil engineering from the University of
Witwatersrand in Johannesburg and obtained a BSc Honours in mining from the
Royal School of Mines in London. He has a mine manager"s certificate, a B
Comm degree from the University of South Africa (UNISA) and he attended an
Advanced Management Program at Harvard University in the USA.
