NOTIFICATION OF MAJOR INTERESTS IN INVESTEC PLC SHARES
Investec plc received notification from the Investec plc Jersey No. 1 Trust
on 27 July 2006 that its holdings of ordinary shares of GBP0.001 each (the
"Ordinary Shares") in the issued share capital of Investec plc has changed
