TRADING STATEMENT
Business Connexion is currently finalising its results for the year ended 31 May
2006, which should be released before 16 August 2006. In this regard,
shareholders are advised that headline earnings per share ("HEPS"), for the
reasons set out below, are likely to be between 20% - 40% lower, and earnings
per share ("EPS") are likely to be between 40% - 60% lower than the
corresponding reporting period of the previous year.
The reduction in EPS and HEPS is primarily attributable to the gains realised on
the sale of the group"s interest in associates and the settlement of the
trademark dispute with the South African Revenue Services, both of which took
place in the previous financial year.
The forecast financial information on which this trading statement is based has
not been reviewed and reported on by the Company"s auditors.
