KUMBA MERGER APPROVED UNCONDITIONALLY
The Competition Tribunal, on 15 August 2006, unconditionally approved the merger
between Main Street and Kumba Resources (Kumba).
The merger seeks to combine the coal assets of Kumba Resources with the coal
assets of Eyesizwe Coal within a newly created company that will be named Exxaro
Resources.
Reasons for the decision will be issued in due course.
