PAYMENT OF COMMISSIONS TO MEMBER FIRMS OF THE JSE LIMITED ("JSE") IN
RESPECT OF INVESTEC PLC"S OFFER FOR SUBSCRIPTION OF NON-REDEEMABLE, NON-
CUMULATIVE, NON-PARTICIPATING INVESTEC PLC PREFERENCE SHARES ("THE OFFER")
As mentioned in the Pre-Listing Statement dated 7 July 2006, the board of
directors of Investec plc has resolved to authorise the payment of
commission of 0.25% (the "Commission") to all brokers and/or agents who
placed the preference shares.
In order to claim payment of the Commission, members are requested to e-
mail their spreadsheets containing their final allocations (in the same
format submitted to their respective CSDPs) before close of business on
Thursday, 24 August 2006 to paris_aposporis@ml.com; brokers and/or agents
are also requested to submit bank account details into which the
Commissions should be deposited. Investec plc will not accept liability
for any incorrect details. The submissions will be verified against
Investec plc"s electronic preference share register relating to the offer
only (as at the issue of the preference shares on 3 August 2006) and
commissions will be paid shortly thereafter.
