Trading statement
Shareholders are advised that it is expected that the loss and headline
loss for the 6 months ended 30 June 2006 are expected to be between 24 - 27
cents per share. Eland Platinum reported a loss and headline loss of 52.5
cents per share for the period from the date of incorporation to 31
December 2005. There are no comparative figures for the corresponding
period to June 2005.
Eland"s interim financial results for the 6 months ended 30 June 2006,
which will contain details of the impact of adopting IFRS 6, are expected
to be announced on or about 29 August 2006.
The information contained in this trading statement has not been reviewed
or reported on by the Company"s auditors.
