Trading Update
In terms of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited, shareholders are
advised that Sovereign expects that the earnings per share and headline
earnings per share for the six months ended 31 August 2006 will be between
30% and 40% higher than those for the six months ended 31 August 2005.
The financial information on which this trading update is based has not
been reviewed and/or reported on by the company"s auditors. It is
anticipated that the results for the six months ended 31 August 2006 will
be published on or about 5 October 2006.
