CHANGES TO DIRECTORATE
In compliance with section 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE,
Palabora hereby announces the following changes to its Board of Directors:
With effect from 30 June 2006, the resignation of Mr Tom Albanese as a non
executive director. With effect from 27 July 2006, the resignations of Mr Rod
Whyte as a non executive director and Mr Paul Henry as an alternate non
executive director. These resignations were noted at the Board meeting held on
27 July 2006 however formal resignation letters were only received recently.
Subsequent to these resignations, the Board will comprise eight directors and an
announcement will be made in due course advising the appointment of a further
Board member in order to increase the Board composition to nine. The Company
believes that a nine-member Board, comprising 2 executives, 3 non executive and
4 independent non executive directors, will be adequate for its corporate
governance.
