Correction to claw back offer announcement dated 21 September 2006
In the claw back offer announcement released on SENS on Thursday, 21
September 2006, it was incorrectly stated that 2 rights shares would
be issued for every 100 Basil Read shares held by Basil Read
shareholders at the close of business on Friday, 13 October 2006.
The correct ratio is in fact 27 rights shares for every 100 Basil
Read shares held by Basil Read shareholders at the close of business
on Friday, 13 October 2006. The error occurred at the SENS
department of the JSE Limited.
The error was only contained in the announcement released on SENS.
The announcement published in the press today contains the correct
ratio.
