TRADING STATEMENT
In terms of the Listing Requirements of the JSE Limited, companies are required
to publish a Trading Statement as soon as they become reasonably certain that
the financial results for the period to be reported on next, will differ by more
than 20% from those of the previous corresponding period.
The board of directors of Orion advises that its headline loss per share for the
year ended 30 June 2006 is expected to reduce by 70% to 90% on the loss of 16,75
cents per share reported for the year ended 30 June 2005 and earnings per share
is expected to decrease by 40% to 60% on the restated 32,65 cents per share for
the same period.
The forecast contained in this Trading Statement has been reviewed by the
company"s external auditors. Orion will release its reviewed financial results
for the year ended 30 June 2006 on or about 29 September 2006.
