Village Main Reef Gold Mining Company (1934) Limited: resignation and
appointment of directors and company secretary
Following the acquisition of a 37,83% holding in Village by Harmony Gold Mining
Company Limited and in compliance with paragraph 3.59(a) of the JSE Limited
Listing Requirements, shareholders are advised that Mr Zacharias Bernardus
Swanepoel, Mr Richard Peter Menell, Mr Michael Arnold, Mr Arne Nicholas Lewis
and Mr Jan Christian Steenkamp have resigned as executive directors of Village
with effect from 29 September 2006 and that Mr De Wet Schutte has been appointed
to the board as an executive director with effect from 2 October 2006. Further,
African Rainbow Minerals Limited has resigned as company secretary of Village
with effect from 29 September 2006 and Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited has
been appointed as company secretary of Village as from 2 October 2006.
The Board of Directors currently consists of Mr De Wet Schutte, Ms Nomfundo
Qangule, Mr Cedric Savage and Mr Frank Abbott.
