TRADING STATEMENT
The directors of SELCo hereby notify shareholders that the company"s earnings
and headline earnings per share for the year ended 30 June 2006 are expected to
be between 290% and 300% higher and between 100% and 110% higher, respectively,
than earnings and headline earnings per share for the year ended 30 June 2005.
In compliance with the JSE Listings Requirements, the financial results of SELCo
for the year ended 30 June 2006 will be prepared for the first time in
accordance with International Financial Reporting Standards and the prior year"s
results will be restated on the same basis.
The financial information on which this trading statement is based has not been
reviewed or reported on by SELCo"s auditors. The company has experienced a last
minute delay in publishing its results for the year ended 30 June 2006, which
are expected to be published on or about 31 October 2006.
