Act, 45 of 2002 (the "Act")

DISTRIBUTION ANNOUNCEMENT
The manager and trustees of the Satrix Collective Investment Scheme (being
Satrix Managers (Proprietary) Limited and ABSA Bank Limited respectively)
have resolved to make a distribution to holders of Satrix 40 securities
recorded in the register in respect of the quarter ended 29 September 2006.
This distribution will:
- be an amount of 17,74 cents (seventeen point seven four cents)
(R0,1774) per Satrix 40 security;
- constituted by 17,74 cents in respect of dividends;
- be made to all holders of Satrix 40 securities recorded in the
register on 29 September 2006; and
- be effected on 27 October 2006.
For the nine months ended 30 September 2006, the Satrix 40 securities had a
net unaudited Total Expense Ratio (TER) of 7,8 basis points.
