DECLARED DIVIDEND ANNOUNCEMENT ON EDGARS CONSOLIDATED STORES LIMITED ENHANCED
DIVIDEND SECURITIES - ("ECOIDC")
With reference to the dividend announcement dated 15 November 2006, the
Directors of Edgars Consolidated Stores Limited have declared an interim
dividend of 71 cents per ordinary share payable on Monday, 8 January 2007 to
ordinary shareholders recorded in the books of the company at the close of
business on Friday, 5 January 2007.
Accordingly, the warrant holders of the Enhanced Dividend Securities, ECOIDC,
will receive an Edgars Consolidated Stores Limited dividend of 71 cents per
security on Monday, 8 January 2007 in terms of the Cession clause incorporated
in the Supplement between the holders and Investec Bank Limited. The last day to
trade ("cum" the dividend) in order to participate in the dividend will be
Thursday, 28 December 2006.
ECOIDC Enhanced Dividend Securities will commence trading "ex" the dividend from
the commencement of business on Friday, 29 December 2006, and the record date
will be Friday, 5 January 2007.
