FTSE/JSE Africa Index Series - Unbundling of Kumba Iron Ore

Following the unbundling of Kumba Iron Ore by Kumba Resources resulting in the
listing of Kumba Iron Ore and notification from the Stock Exchange, FTSE and the
JSE announces the following changes:
INDEX CHANGE EFFECTIVE FROM
START OF TRADING
FTSE/JSE Africa Kumba Resources (South Africa,
Top 40 (J200) ZAE000034310, 6418801) will remain in
the index with an unchanged shares in
issue total of 308,494,925 and an
unchanged investability weighting of
20%.
Kumba Iron Ore (South Africa,
ZAE000085346, B1G4262) will be added
to the index with a shares in issue
total of 308,494,925 and an
investability weighting of 30%.
Aspen Pharmacare Holdings (South 20 November 2006
Africa, ZAE000066692, B09C0Z1) will be
deleted from the index.
FTSE/JSE Africa Aspen Pharmacare Holdings (South
Mid Cap (J201) Africa, ZAE000066692, B09C0Z1) will be
added to the index with a shares in
issue total of 384,890,412 and an
unchanged investability weighting of
100%.
Makalani Holdings (South Africa, 20 November 2006
ZAE000066700, B08XW15) will be deleted
from the index.
FTSE/JSE Africa Makalani Holdings (South Africa, 20 November 2006
Small Cap (J202) ZAE000066700, B08XW15) will be added
to the index with a shares in issue
total of 25,000,000 and an
investability weighting of 100%.

All Share (J203) index as above
Kumba Iron Ore will be added as above
Aspen Pharmacare Holdings (South

remain in the index with a shares in

Makalani Holdings (South Africa, 20 November 2006

the index with an unchanged shares in
issue total of 25,000,000 and an
investability weighting of 100%.
