Ms Raisibe Kgomaraga Morathi and Mr Jeremy Rowse have been appointed to the
Board as a Non Executive Directors with effect from 20 November 2006. Mr EA
Moolla has resigned as a Non Executive Director from the Santam Limited board
with effect from 20 November 2006. We hereby wish to thank him for his
efficient service and diligent contribution since 23 August 2005.
Ms Morathi is employed by the IDC and is presently seconded to the Office of the
Deputy President of South Africa as Economic Advisor. Ms Morathi is a Chartered
Accountant (South Africa) and also holds a Certificate in Advanced Management
Programme from INSEAD (France) and a Higher Diploma in Taxation from Wits
University. Her experience includes structured finance, corporate finance &
broking and private equity. She will be a great benefit to Santam Limited.
Mr Rowse was the ex-Chief Executive of African Life Assurance and retired in
early 2006. He was instrumental in expanding African Life Assurance business
into Botswana, Kenya and Namibia. Mr Rowse has completed a B.Com degree at
Rhodes University as well as obtaining an MBA from UCT. He also served as a
member of the Board of the Life Offices Association of South Africa for over 7
years, as well as serving on President Kufour"s Ghana Investment Advisory
Counsel (GIAC) for over 4 years, after being nominated by the World Bank. He
will be a great benefit to Santam Limited.
