Trading Statement And Renewal Of Cautionary Announcement
TRADING UPDATE
In terms of the Listings Requirements of the JSE Limited, a listed company is
required to publish a trading statement as soon as it is satisfied that a
reasonable degree of certainty exists that its financial results for the next
reporting period will differ by 20% or more from those of the corresponding
period of the previous year.
The company"s strategy of unlocking value for shareholders and the consequential
disposal of several businesses has resulted in a significantly different group
structure compared to the prior comparative period.
The board of directors of m Cubed accordingly advises that they expect earnings
per share and headline earnings per share for the six months ended 31 August
2006 to be between 60 to 80 per cent and 50 to 70 per cent below earnings per
share and headline earnings per share reported for the prior comparative period
respectively.
It is anticipated that the financial results of m Cubed for the six months ended
31 August 2006 will be released on or about 30 November 2006.
The financial information in this trading statement has not been reviewed or
reported on by m Cubed"s auditors.
RENEWAL OF CAUTIONARY ANNOUNCEMENT
Shareholders are advised that the company"s dispute with the Regulator referred
to in previous cautionary announcements has not been resolved as yet.
Negotiations in this regard are still in progress.
The company accordingly advises shareholders to continue exercising caution when
trading in the company"s shares.
