Trading Statement
In terms of the JSE Limited Listings Requirements ("the Listings
Requirements"), companies are required to publish a trading statement as
soon as they are reasonably certain that the financial results for the
current reporting period will be more than 20% different from that of the
previous corresponding period.
In terms of the Listings Requirements, Conafex accordingly advises that it
expects that earnings per share for the current financial period ending
30th September 2006 are likely to be between 70% and 90% above those of the
comparative period of last year, and headline earnings per share for the
current financial period ending 30th September 2006 are likely to be
between 25% and 45% below those of the comparative period of last year.
Shareholders are advised that the above information has not been reviewed
or reported on by Conafex"s external auditors.
The company"s results for the period ending September 2006 are to be
published on 30 November 2006.
