VOLUNTARY ANNOUNCEMENT - RENEWAL OF RIGHTS WITH RACING UK LIMITED
Shareholders are advised that Phumelela Gold Enterprises (PGE) the
partnership between Phumelela Gaming and Leisure Limited (61%) and Gold
Circle (Proprietary) Limited (39%), has renewed its agreement with Racing
UK Limited. This agreement grants PGE the exclusive right to receive and
broadcast , British horseracing held at 30 racecourses in the UK, anywhere
in the world, excluding the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland.
Bookmakers and private subscribers generally pay a fixed fee for the
product, while totalisators pay a variable fee dependent on betting
turnover they generate. The rights have been renewed until 28 February 2010
with automatic annual renewal thereafter provided that certain conditions
are met.
