Appointment of new directors
Metrofile Holdings is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr Paul Nkuna
as a non-executive director with immediate effect.
Paul is CEO of Mineworkers Investment Company (Proprietary) Limited ("MIC")
which is one of South Africa"s pre-eminent Empowerment firms, whose
beneficiary base comprises the families of hundreds of thousands of black
mineworkers. MIC recently won the Business Report Award for the leading
unlisted Black Economic Empowerment group in RSA. Paul is a director of a
number of unlisted and listed companies including FirstRand Bank Limited
and Primedia Limited (of which he is non-executive chairman), Mathomo
Limited, BPSA (Proprietary) Limited, Masana Petroleum (Proprietary)
Limited, Tracker Investment Holdings (Proprietary) Limited and Council for
Geological Science. Paul is passionate about transformation, with emphasis
on broad based empowerment, ownership, affirmative procurement, employment
equity, skills development and transfer and promotion of SMMEs.
Metrofile Holdings is also pleased to announce the appointment of Mr
Richard Buttle as chief financial officer with immediate effect.
Richard joined the Metrofile group in 1996, having completed his articles
and after a one year contract performing a forensic audit. His work
experience includes several roles, including holding positions of Financial
Manager and Financial Director. Richard has been part of the Metrofile team
since July 2000 and been the chief financial officer of Metrofile
(Proprietary) Limited since January 2003 and is a director of all the
subsidiaries of Metrofile Holdings.
