APPOINTMENT OF NEW DIRECTOR TO THE BOARD
In compliance with paragraph 3.59 of the Listings Requirements of the JSE
Limited, the board of directors of Beige are pleased to announce the appointment
of Mr Michael Easter as Financial Director, with immediate effect.
Michael graduated with a B Comm. from the University of the Witwatersrand in
1987 and a Bachelor of Accounting Science from UNISA in 1990. He obtained his
CA(SA) in 1991 and an MBA from the University of Edinburgh Management School in
2000. Michael began his career with Coopers and Lybrand and worked as Audit
Senior until 1992 when he left to join AECI Limited as a financial accountant
and, later, Group Accountant, before leaving to travel and work overseas.
Having spent 6 years working in the United Kingdom in various senior financial
positions, Michael moved to Australia, where he was appointed as Commercial
Manager to Brisbane Slipways and Engineering (Pty) Ltd. During his time in
Australia, Michael completed the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia
conversion course and was registered as a Chartered Accountant in Australia in
2005. Michael returned to South Africa in 2006.
The board believes that Michael`s international experience in senior positions
will greatly enhance the financial management function at Beige and that his
skills will contribute to the expansion strategy of the business.
Clive Whitlow, who has been responsible for the financial management function at
Beige since 2004, will continue as financial manager at the Chloorkop site.
The board thanks him for the valuable contribution that he has made to the group
over the past 3 years.
